China International Seminar on Linwu Nuo Culture
 
To whom it may concern:
We are pleased to invite you to attend the China International Seminar on Linwu Nuo Culture during 15th to 19th August, 2012 in Linwu County, Hunan province, China.
Youwan, in Dachong, Linwu County, is a village with 980 years of history which has been built since middle of the Song dynasty (A.D. 1030). Nuo activity in Youwan village has 540 years of history which has developed since the Ming dynasty (about A.D. 1470). Nuo activity in Youwan is still maintaining its primitive state. It is a series system including Nuo ceremony, Nuo drama, Nuo dance and Luji (sacrifice on the road), and a comprehensive folk activity including several forms, such as religion, customs, dance and music.
The International Seminar on Linwu Nuo Culture is held by China Nuo Opera Research Institute, Drama Research Institute of China Art Academy, Hunan Art Research Institute and Linwu County government.
Arrive time: 15th Aug. 2012
Routing:
1. Airplane to Guangzhou, transfer to Chenzhou west station at Guangzhou south station. (About 2 hours)
2. Airplane to Changsha, transfer to Chenzhou west station at Changsha south station. (About 1 hour)
Prepare work group will wait for experts and representatives at Chenzhou west railway station, and bring them to Linwu International Hotel by bus.
Fee: 1. Experts and representatives with invitation letter need to bill the traffic expenses including the international fly. The host will afford the accommodation and all the traffic expenses in Chenzhou city.
      2. Experts and representatives without invitation letter need to bill the traffic expenses including the international fly, and pay RMB800 per one to meeting preparation group (post student only RMB400). The host will afford the accommodation and all the traffic expenses in Chenzhou city.
     3. All the accommodation arrangement and activities including room, meal, traffic, sighting and social events are arranged by meeting preparation group.
     4. about the room: the host only affords one bed for one person in standard double room in the hotel. (Anyone who needs the whole double room will be asked to pay for the other bed) 
Meeting Agenda:
   The 1st day (15th Aug. 2012 Wednesday)
   Experts and representatives register and check in with invitation letter.
 
   The 2nd day (16th Aug. 2012 Thursday)
Morning: the opening ceremony; establishment ceremony on research base for Linwu Nuo culture; Seminar meeting.
Afternoon: visit the Linwu folk culture scenery and modern industries.
           14:30 ancient drama stage in Linwu
           15:30 ancient resident place in Chengtou village
           16:30 South Hunan wooden sculpture factory for local resident
           17:30 Shunhua duck industry
           18:30 welcome dinner
           20:00 Qi drama, local songs, Qunqu in Linwu (see the reference)
 
The 3rd day (17th Aug. 2012 Friday)
Go to the Youwan village to see Nuo activities (see the reference)
 
The 4th day (18th Aug. 2012 Saturday)
